The Ministry of General Education has directed that all STEM schools should revert to the National curriculum.
And General Education Permanent Jobbicks Kalumba says the ministry has observed that there is need to put in place a national mechanism to implement STEM education in schools.
Dr. Kalumba has told ZNBC News that STEM education in schools will now be used to enhance the teaching of Science, Technology and Mathematics.
He said reverting to the National curriculum will not affect STEM education in schools but will be used side by side with the national curriculum.
Meanwhile, hundreds of school pupils have started traveling to their various Schools in other provinces ahead of the re – opening of the second term tomorrow.
A Check by ZNBC News at the Lusaka Post Office and Intercity bus terminus found several pupils packing their luggage in the long-distance buses.
And Dr. Kalumba has advised school administrators to continue adhering to the Covid-19 health guidelines as schools re – open tomorrow.
He says all schools should implement the measures the ministry of Health has put in place to prevent another premature closure of schools due to Covid-19.
Dr. Kalumba said the second term is critical for those in examination class as they have to catch up on lost time.
