From the outside, the Chiefs management appears to be more worried about winning trophies hence the decision to bring Baxter back.

And his track record from the first spell when it comes to revenue at the club speaks volume – this is what Chiefs are looking for.

Baxter, during his three-year stay between 2012 and 2015, brought in R52.4 million in revenue for Chiefs.

He won two league titles, the MTN8, and the Nedbank Cup – and even when Chiefs finished empty-handed in 2013-14 season, Chiefs fans were still still satisfied with him.

From this past season, Chiefs are guaranteed to pocket R14.5 million, thanks to their fairy tale run the CAF Champions League.
