Bandits Sack Three Communities, Kidnap 35 Women In katsina

No fewer than 55 persons,among which is 35 women have been kidnapped in three villages, in Sabuwa local government Area of Katsina State.


The bandits who invaded the villages of  Katsalle, Unguwar Tukur and Sabon Layin Mai Keke, between Sunday and Monday, had an unopposed attack at the villages without any confrontation from security agencies.

An eye witness who disclosed this in anonymity said, 30 persons, including 10 women were abducted in Katsalle village on Monday at 12 pm in the afternoon.

He said: “When we saw them coming, we hid, we tried to reach out to the women but it was impossible, because we could hear the cries of the children for help, there was no way we could do it, there was a house where they took ten women.”

While Katsalle community were in disarray over the armed bandits of Monday, Villages of  Unguwar Tukur and Sabon Layin Mai Keke, were invaded by bandits on Sunday, and abducted about 25 women.


sources from the villages  disclosed that 10 women were abducted in Unguwar Tukur, while 15 women were abducted in Sabon Layin Mai Keke, all in Katsina State.


Daily Trust reported that attempts to contact the Katsina State Police Spokesman, SP Gambo Isa, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report. However, BBC Hausa service quoted him as saying that they were waiting for the report from the Sabuwa Divisional Police Officer.
