Julius Malema, EFF leader has requested for a fine against the governing ANC. this is often after some senior members of the party “caught a lift” from the Defence Minister to Zimbabwe.

However, the ANC has denied doing nothing wrong.

The governing party said the Defence Minister – Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula was amid its delegation who was heading over to the country.

“A Zimbabwean issue may be a very urgent issue, it requires urgent attention,” Malema said.

“Therefore, the leadership of the ruling party saw it befitting to travel and interact with the Zimbabwean leaders and find an answer because we would like an urgent solution in Zimbabwe. Anything which will help to revive sanity in Zimbabwe, we’ll support it because the EFF but to use the state resources by the leadership of the ANC…”

“I think it had been irresponsible and that we shouldn’t be too dramatic about it. getting to “> we’ll ask the secretary of the defence to invoice the ANC in order that it pays and doesn’t repeat that mistake but going to Zimbabwe, even under lockdown regulations, it’s necessary, it’s urgent and, therefore, it’ll be reactionary to mention the leaders should never have gone to Zimbabwe.”

Malema also said the rationale to go to Zimbabwe stands, but the ANC made use of an unacceptable mode of transport.
