2 suspects arrested following attempted business robbery at Cresta Shopping Centre

IT HAS BEEN REPORTED ON MONDAY MORNING THAT SIX ARMED MEN VISITED a store AND ALLEGEDLY HELD EMPLOYEES AT GUNPOINT

Two men are arrested on Monday in reference to an attempted business robbery that involved six armed men at Cresta plaza .

It has been reported on Monday morning that six armed men visited a store and allegedly held employees at gunpoint.

Immediately one among the staff members yelled out for help, the lads sped off on foot which saw a watchman chase after the gang.

Thereafter, two of the suspects took over two cars during a complex in Fairlands but before they might escape, the police and therefore the guard blocked them.

Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said:

“Police are still checking out the suspects that fled the scene. No injuries were reported and police are appealing to anyone who may need information which will help apprehend the opposite suspects to call their nearest police headquarters or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”
