An announcement was made by Eskom that there would be continuation of Stage 2 load-shedding from 9am to 10pm on Wednesday.
Eskom mentioned that they did a breakdown of 4 units overnight at some power plant locations – Medupi, Duvha, Majuba, and Lethabo power stations, and also caused a delay at Medupi in reference to ‘return to service’ of a unit.
These further led to the facility system to be constrained.
Sikonathi Mantshantsha, Eskom spokesperson said during a statement that an end to load-shedding might likely not happen in the week .
He also said that there’s an opportunity power cuts might continue next week.
