Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has been reportedly offered to Spanish side Barcelona this summer in what might be the most important transfer ever in football history.

This is consistent with Spanish football expert Guillem Balague who reported that the previous Real Madrid star could also be making a return to the Spanish La Liga.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing for Juventus for the past two seasons during which the Portuguese has won the Serie A title twice .

But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has not been ready to win the Champions League with the wife which is one among the main reasons they signed him from Real Madrid.

During Cristiano Ronaldo’s first season at Juventus, the forward and his teammates were sent out of the Champions League by Ajax within the quarterfinal.

Turin fans were of the views that their side would had best this term within the Champions League, but they crashed out losing against Lyon within the round of 16.

Juventus chiefs were angry with their elimination within the Champions League which forced them to sack manager Maurizio Sarri.

Balon d’Or wins: Messi 6, Ronaldo 5

Career goals: Messi 634, Ronaldo 638

Career assists: Messi 285, Ronaldo 223

While an attacking duo of Messi and Ronaldo has been a spectacle football fans have been crying out for since they both announced themselves on the world stage around 15 years ago, it looks incredibly unlikely to become a reality this summer.

The two have been battling it out on the highest stage in football and dividing opinion as to who is the better player for over a decade. They share eleven Ballon d’Or awards between them; Messi with six and Ronaldo with five, and have a combined 1,272 career goals.
