New Date For NECO 2020, NABTEB 2020 – FG

The federal has said the Senior lyceum Certificate Examinations (SSCE) organised by the National Examination Council (NECO) for SS3 pupils will commence on October 5 and endways November 18, 2020.

News Nigeria reports that the govt also said the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examinations will start on September 21 and end by October 15, 2020.

This Online News Platform learnt that Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuiba, announced the dates at the top of a two-day meeting with Chief Executives of examination bodies within the country.

In a statement on Wednesday by the Director of Press and PR , Federal Ministry of Education (FMoE), Ben Goong, the ministry said the National Common entrance exam (NCEE) into Unity Colleges will hold on October 17, 2020.

The ministry also said the essential Education Certificate Examinations, (BECE) for JSS 3 pupils also conducted by NECO, will start on August 24 and endways September 7, 2020.

The statement said registration for the NECO (SSCE), which is on-going, will endways the ten of September 2020 with no option of extension.

Meanwhile, West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will start on August 17. the govt noted that the choices were reached at a virtual consultative meeting among the main stakeholders within the education sector.
